I wake up every morning and wonder how mothers survive this.
First COVID, then supply chain issues, then nonsensical political feuding, and now an historic heat wave.
To top all of that, the cost of diapers is soaring.
It's been hard on all of us, but for single mothers who live below the poverty line, it's devastating. The choices they have to make are choices that none of us should have to make.
Medicine, clothing, food, shelter, diapers? What can they afford? Sadly, the basics are all they can do. And, much of the time, it's food, clothing, and shelter. Not diapers.
That's why Bottoms Up exists: to help these struggling single mothers make it through a very difficult time in their lives.
Summer time is always hard on the finances at Bottoms Up and this year is particularly hard. I am hopeful that you'll help.
Would you please become one of our monthly supporters? Just a little a month can help so many. If a one-time contribution is more appropriate for you at this time, I understand. The monthyly support evenes out our finances and we're better able to help our ultimate "customer": single moms living below the poverty line.
